Woodworm
Our experienced Surveyors will carry out a full inspection of your
property to determine the extent of any infestation and to identify the
wood boring insects. We
will then provide a detailed report and recommendations for treatment.
All products used are approved by the Health and Safety Executive and we
have a full range of treatments available to suit all circumstances.
Wood Rot
This problem can develop undetected and requires an experienced Surveyor
to determine the extent of the problem and to specify the correct
treatment. Dry Rot in
particular needs thorough and detailed treatment to prevent
re-infestation. We provide this service which includes renewal of
flooring, plaster etc which may need to be removed during the course of
treatment.
Rising Damp
This damaging and unsightly problem can be cured efficiently using one
of an extensive range of replacement damp course systems. Our Surveyor
will provide a written report detailing the extent of the problem and
recommending the appropriate treatment including specialist plastering
and other
reinstatement
works.
Basement Tanking
We can convert your damp basement into a dry and usable area adding
value to your property. We have full range of cementitious and membrane
systems available and our Surveyors will be pleased to provide details
and written reports.
Wall Tie Replacement
The Building Research Establishment has found that a large number of
properties built before 1981 have wall tie corrosion usually in mortar
joints of the outer leaf of brickwork. This results in the expansion of
the tie causing cracking and lifting of the brickwork and distortion.
Our Surveyor will determine the extent of the problem by using a boroscope to examine the wall ties inside the cavity or by exposing the
tie end in the mortar joint.
A scheme for installing replacement ties is then provided
detailing the type of tie and method of installation which includes
making good areas disturbed on completion of the work. As full members
of The Wall Tie installers Federation we are able to offer a fully
insured long term Guarantee for this work. In addition and where
requested we will also carry out crack stitching and brickwork repairs
and replacement of lintels.
